Interlude Music Lessons
Code of Conduct Policy:
All students, parents, and teachers are expected to conduct themselves appropriately and respectfully. No bullying or hate speech will be tolerated.
Minor Safety Policy:
If your child is 12 and under:
An adult must be in the home at all times during our Zoom lesson.
An adult must check in with the teacher at the beginning and end of each lesson.
If the child is 13 and up:
While we understand that children ages 13 and up may be left at home without supervision, please consider that our teachers cannot reach through the screen, should your child require assistance. We recommend that an adult be available on the premises at all times.
All our staff are required to do criminal records checks.
Our teachers periodically sit in on other teachers’ lessons. This is for accountability and learning.
Payment Policy: Automatic Tuition Fees
By providing Interlude, and our epayment system, Jackrabbit, with your credit card or banking information, you grant us permission to automatically post tuition fees to your account and process transactions for fee payments. Here are the key details:
The first time you register for private lessons, your tuition fees will be charged within 24-48 hours. After that, tuition fees are processed on the first of the month.
Tuition Posting and Payment:
Tuition fees for the upcoming month will be automatically posted to your portal account three days before the current month ends.
Transactions to pay your portal account balance will be posted on the first day of the month.
Processing Times:
Credit card charges may display as "processing" for 24-48 hours before being posted.
ACH payments may require 2-3 business days to process.
Billing for Lessons:
Your billing will be based on the number of lessons scheduled in a given month. Refer to the tuition breakdown for details here.
For example, if your private lesson falls on Mondays and there are five Mondays in a month, your bill will cover five total lessons. If there are only four Mondays, then you will be billed for four total lessons.

Refund and Makeup Policy
You will not be refunded for missed lessons.
You have 30 days to schedule a makeup lesson.
Please reach out to interludemusiclessons@gmail.com to schedule your makeup lesson.
Should you choose to cancel your lessons in the middle of a tuition cycle, you will be refunded for the portion of lessons paid for after the date of cancelation.
Absence and Cancellation Policy:
Please inform your teacher at least 48 hours in advance if you cannot attend a scheduled lesson. You can report an absence through your parent portal.
If more than two lessons are missed in a row, our staff will reach out to ensure that you would like to continue your lessons.
In the case of a medical emergency, a makeup lesson will be granted. See Refund and Makeup policy for more info.
Holiday Lesson Accommodations
We understand that holiday observances vary among individuals. If your scheduled lesson coincides with a holiday not mentioned in the provided list, we encourage you to get in touch with us at interludemusiclessons@gmail.com!
Upon notification, we will make every effort to arrange an appropriate makeup lesson or facilitate a refund for any class affected by your holiday commitment.

Video/Photo Release (for minors):
By checking 'Yes', you grant permission for audio/video of your child's lesson or performance to be used for promotional material. Only first names will be used.
We prioritize your child's privacy and safety: no minor's face will be shown on our website or social platforms (e.g., it will be covered with an emoji).
Remember, your child can decline recording at any time.
Video/Photo Release (for adults)
Checking 'Yes' indicates your consent for audio/video of your lesson or performance to be used for promotional material.
You can always decline recording if you wish.
