Interlude: an intervening space.

What’s our Model?

We own an online studio for music lessons called “Interlude.” We focus on accessibility and student-led learning. We work to meet everyone’s needs through our virtual format and individualized approach. We offer live music instruction as well as asynchronous music education content. At Interlude, anyone can study music anywhere in a way that aligns with their learning strengths and values.

What’s our Vision?

Our vision is to create a space where everyone, everywhere can study and share music. We believe that music education is a restorative, restful, and powerful pause. If you purposefully take a break from the chaos of the world, music will help you return to the world with a strengthened heart and clearer mind.

What’s our Mission?

At Interlude, we make accessibility happen through our:

  • Online Format: Our online format allows students to learn at any place, pace, and time! Interlude’s format also creates accessibility for covid-conscious or high-risk communities.

  • Opportunity and Safety For All Ages: It’s never too late (or early) to start learning music! We have offerings suited to ages 6-99+! At Interlude, we create an environment where everyone can feel safe (see our values section).
